Artist Statement

Cindy Lou Rothery is an award-winning established artist. She is an associate member of the Federation of Canadian artists, an active member of Pastel Artists of Canada and an active member with Signature Status at the Manitoba Society of Artists. She grew up in a small town in Manitoba, and currently lives in Winnipeg. She began working with alcohol inks and was enthralled by their free flowing and vibrant colors; that have their own mind and don't like to be controlled. She found her own style and technique by making literally hundreds of flowers. Her studied approach lets the inks guide her to create her unique flowers and landscapes.

While Cindy has been primarily focusing on expressing her creativity with alcohol-based inks, she also paints in pastel and acrylics.
